AGENCY FISCAL MANAGER

The Arkansas Science & Technology Authority (Authority), a state agency, is seeking a qualified applicant to become its Fiscal Manager. The position's primary duty is to manage the fiscal activities of the Authority. Other duties include disbursing funds, monitoring budgets, developing and maintaining fiscal controls, providing technical assistance to senior managers, developing budget requests and analyzing expenditures and making projections.

The position's minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business and three years experience in governmental accounting, budgeting or finance. The candidate must have strong expertise in the Arkansas Administrative Statewide Information System (AASIS). Strong computer skills, the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are a must.

The position is a grade 22 on the state system with a starting salary of $34,021. The Authority is an equal opportunity employer.
